  • Basketball Tryout Packets Are Ready!

    Printed forms are available for both boys' and girls' basketball teams in the main office, or download and print the forms linked here. Athletes should turn in the ENTIRE completed packet to the "sports forms" box in the main office. To try out, forms must be in and cleared by the office by December 5, 2016. Remember, all athletes need to have a current (within the last 2 years) physical, completed by a licensed medical authority, on file to try out. Please use the checklist provided on the cover sheet to make sure your packet is complete.

  • Positive Discipline Class for Parents/Guardians at High Point Community Center

    Thursdays in October, November and December from 6pm to 8pm. Oct. 20 Oct. 27 Nov. 3 Nov. 17 Dec. 1 Dec. 8 Dec. 15 Madison Middle School and the Puget Sound Adlerian Society will be sponsoring a 7 week long positive discipline class for parents and guardians of Madison students. Anita Garcia Morales, who has decades of experience teaching in Seattle Public Schools and working in the district’s race and equity department, will be teaching a course around research-backed strategies parents/guardians can use with teens to help facilitate better relationships for their kids at home, in school and in the community at large. This course is free and childcare will be provided. The classes will take place at the High Point Community Center (6920 34th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98126). Each class will be two hours long, running from 6 to 8pm. They will be held on the following dates October 20th, October 27th, November 3rd, November 17th, December 1st, December 8th and December 15th.     Just a reminder that Madison M.S. will be dismissing TWO HOURS early on Thursday (October 13, 2016). There is also NO SCHOOL on Friday (October 14, 2016). Enjoy the long weekend, Bulldogs!

  • Ultimate Frisbee Forms for 2016 Season Are Here

    Your wait is over!--Ultimate Frisbee season is about to begin. The paperwork that participating players need to complete before the season can be downloaded here or picked up in the main office. All players need a valid physical on file to play. Ultimate is a co-ed sport. The packet is designed to be printed 2-sided, so blank pages are normal if printing 1-sided.

  • Madison Taking Additional 2-hour Early Release Days in 2016-17

    In addition to the district-wide 2-hour early release dates, Madison will be dismissing early (at 1:15 pm) on five other dates. The district-wide dates are: 9/28/16, 10/26/16, 11/16/16, 3/22/17, 5/10/17 (all are Wednesdays). The additional Madison dates are: 10/13/16, 1/11/17, 2/8/17, 4/19/17 and 6/14/17 (all Wednesdays, except 10/13/16, which is Thursday). There will be no activities or activity buses on those days, but we will have regular bus routes running on the early-release time to transport students home.   • Advanced Learning Forms

    Advanced Learning is now accepting referrals for the 2017-2018 school year. All English forms are available only through The Source. This is an entirely digital system so families are welcome to use computers at school to access them. For families that need the forms in languages other than English, they can be found on the District Website or as links on The Source when they log in.
